First blog - Introduction

So a very good friend of mine asked me to start a blog, so he could follow up on whats going on in my life and how i am doing. First i thought I would not have time for one, but told him "sure, when i have time I will start writing" so here I am. Making my first blog and have no clue if I am doing it right or wrong. the only thing i know, is I will have grammar and spelling mistakes.

About me and who I am -

My name is Ertugrul Ciltik I was born and raised in A small country in North Europe called Denmark. Both my parents are from turkey, but have spend most of their life in Denmark.
My dream a a child was always to become a veterinarian, but growing up all tat changed. High school was more the party life rather then the study hard life.
That Resulted in my grade, not being good enough for vet school. So I got in to marine engineering school instead. I did that for about 1.5 years until i found out that i could get my vet degree some were else.

2012 i traveled to Orlando, Florida to visit my uncle and aunt. They help me talk to Valencia College and i was told that through them i could start my degree towards becoming a vet.
So i started doing all need to do to get into the college and i got in.

This was the shortest story I could come up with, but then again I have no idea if this is how to write a blog.

That was a little bit about my life before starting college, i could write down 17 pages of just about the one year before beginning college and that will leave me with 25 more year to go. I am starting my blog from when i get into USA.
Everything before that, my Friend Anders already knows all about.

I have been in Orlando for about 2 months now and the last two months I have tried to figure out everything about my school, what classes I need. I have looked for cars to buy so i have transportation before school. I have looked for apartments so i have my own place to live.
College started hard, not being use to only use English and the first class i had was Fundamental of speech. I was very nervous, but thanks to that class i have faced my fears of speaking in front of people in English. I chose to have that class the first term of summer semester, but only by mistake. so when that was done in 6 days ago June 16th, my 3 other classes began. Math, English reading and writing and Student success. My calender is packed and i only have the weekends to relax, so that will be then I will be making my blogs, maybe if something really exiting happens i might have the time to post it.

In the past two months of my stay in Orlando and finishing one class I have. Got friends I play, volleyball and soccer with. we go to the beach. we fish. I have bought a BMW 2001 330Ci

and today i have signed my contract for my apartment.
The past two months, beside being hard to get use to a new life and not think of it as a vacation I have really enjoyed it. I love the fact that it is warm all the time. I am happy going to college and people in my classes a friendly and happy. The friends that I have made are good friends an I like their company. I have nothing to complain about and I don't regret the fact that i had to leave my best friends and family in Denmark. I keep contact with them as much as I can, because I do miss them. One person I can't wait to see is my beautiful girlfriend that I met in Orlando. She is in Peru but are going through the same college processes as me, since she will be attending at Valencia college to.

So what is going on now -
I must say i have taken the USA eating habits to me, so today I start running again. I made a challenge with my big brother that I would lose 5 kg. in 3 months (10 pounds) and with this heat that I am running in I see no problem in that. Today I ran with no time, but a length of 7 miles.
The most interesting thing about my run happened in the end, when I was almost dying for air and water. One old couple saw me and start commenting that i looked like i had run very far. I could not complain, i had not ran 7 miles in a long time. The man asked me were I am from, and I tell him I am Turkish, but I was born an raised in Denmark, so he asked me in danish "do you speak danish" i was surprised, forgot about all my pain in my body and was just filled with joy that this stranger out of no were start talking to me in danish.
We talked for a while and got to know each other for little bit, the man is a professor in UCF (university of central florida) I forgot to ask him about his name, but we sure practiced mine. They both asked me if I had a business card, so they could keep contact with me and to introduce me to some other people they knew, was talking danish as well. I had nothing to write on and the same with them, so sadly we could not share any information.
One thing i know that is very important for me as a new international student is to start making a lot of contacts, because being lonely is not a good option at all.
I hope to see them again on my next run and this time I will bring a pen and paper to my car, so I don't lose my chance to get to know new people again.
